Automated package inspection system for domestic shipments

Who to contact for help and a description of the Click-N-Ship Automated Package Verification system.

What is automatic package verification and who is affected by the process?
Automated Package Verification (APV) accelerates the fee verification process for certain shipments including labels created by Click-N-Ship® and PC Postage programs (PC Postage applications including Click -N-Ship, Endicia, Stamps.com, eBay, PayPal, Easy Post and Pitney Bowes). Previously, the Post Office only issued a notification package to the sender when it discovered a variation in the items' characteristics.

USPS® now alerts shippers via Click-N-Ship® (CNS) or PC Postal enforcement when package attributes are inconsistent. The USPS modifies postage payments for impacted products, which are no longer subject to a manual limit procedure. Through these channels, payment modifications may be made.

Notifications are sent from your main PC vendor or shown when logged into the relevant account, whether it's the optional USPS Click-N-Ship or shipping services like eBay utilizing the primary PC.

How can improvements be made to the postal system?
The USPS largely depends on a manual arrival procedure. Mail having a charge differential will be returned to the sender/shipper for correction or sent to the recipient/customer for payment of the outstanding fee. This procedure may result in delivery delays and/or unanticipated extra expenditures for your customers/recipients, so diminishing their customer experience.

Why does USPS automatically declare process to priority quota?
In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the implementation of an auto-charge regulatory development process ensures that we can maintain low shipping costs and conserve power for our clients.

How should I be informed?
When a specific package point discrepancy is found, USPS informs shippers via Click-N-Ship® or their PC Postage organization. USPS has began making significant payment adjustments for the impacted products, which are no longer subject to the labor restriction laws. Payment modifications are made possible using the Click-N-Ship platform and PC Postage.

When does a significant difference arise?
In general, instability emerges when package-specific characteristics are absent (e.g., weight, dimensions, area, etc.) Electrical equipment collected by USPS processing equipment. This is often due to one of the following reasons for a changing letter or rating category: Incorrect label weight resulting in pricing discrepancies owing to varying ratings or exceeding grade restrictions. Incorrect dimensions relative to the actual box size sent.
The service or packaging was input erroneously while creating the label, resulting in the usage of the inappropriate package of packaging material/service (e.g., labels for first-class mail cannot be used on Priority Mail or Priority Mail packaging).

Disputes and disputes

What should I do if I disagree with USPS's evaluation?
If you believe you got a notification from your PC Postage provider in error, please submit your artwork by following the directions in the mail. USPS may analyze all scan data linked with your amended item, including image analysis, and if such a mistake occurs, USPS will refund the updated cost via its PC Postal partners.

How long will USPS take to assess my claims? How can I check the status of my dispute?

USPS may analyze all scan data related with your upgraded item, including image analysis, and if a mistake arises, we will coordinate with our PC Postal partners. We will repay the revised sum. The typical response time is 2 to 5 business days, with a maximum of 15 business days. The status of your claim is accessible through your PC Postal provider and may be updated regularly.

When will my refund be processed?

If your claim is validated, you may be eligible for a reimbursement. All payments are administered by your main PC vendor on behalf of USPS, therefore if you have issues about billing or want to pay your account, please contact your primary PC vendor directly.
